happy birthday kids!

june was a busy month for us--an anniversary and 4 birthdays! we celebrated kaleigh and connor's birthday yesterday. connor wanted spongebob and kaleigh wanted hannah montana. we had all the grandparents over for a bbq and cake. kaleigh and connor were spoiled, that's for sure! we gave connor a new harley davidson big wheel which he hasn't stopped riding since he got it.

kaleigh got a ton of clothes, which she wanted; auntie bubbas took her and connor out to lunch and then took kaleigh to get a cute manicure (her first!) she was so excited to be 7!

i'm back!!!

i'm finally home from my trip to costa rica. i've missed this place! i got back home this morning at 2:15 a.m. and crawled into bed. it will be a few days before i put up pictures. i'm going to try to catch up on a little sleep for now. :)

let the journey begin!

a few hours from now i'll be on a plane to costa rica with my mom and sister. i can't believe it! it still doesn't feel real. all this waiting. it's been almost a year since my mom told me about the plans but until i'm actually there it won't seem real. i hope to take a lot of wonderful pictures, see new things, and have a great time! see you in 10 days!

woohoo! school is finally done. my first official day of vacation was spent getting ready for my upcoming vacation...to costa rica!! i went to preschool with connor and had fun painting, making cool projects for father's day, and singing. i still need to do a few more errands to get some last minute things for my trip. i need to think about packing. notice i said "think" about it. i'll probably procrastinate and then get upset when i realize i don't have enough to wear or my stuff won't fit into my suitcase...oh well, it's SUMMER TIME! woohoo!!

happy birthday val!

we had a little celebration for val tonight when he got home from work. pizza and birthday cake...yum! kaleigh and connor helped blow out the candles after we all sang the birthday song. kaleigh and connor got val a new puzzle since "daddy LOVES puzzles!" that will give him something to do while i'm in costa rica this next week. ha! ha!

after cake, connor and val took a little dip in the pool. connor didn't mind the cold water or mosquitos buzzing around. woohoo to birthdays!

kaleigh's first swim meet

kaleigh's first meet was this past saturday against crockett. she swam in both relays and then free, fly, and back. she took first place in freestyle and backstroke; second place in butterfly. she did so good!! she can't wait to do it again!

with a few hundred people. we took the kids to see kung fu panda saturday night at the drive-in. everyone else had the same idea! there were so many people waiting to go inside, that the movie started 45 minutes late. we had fun though! connor enjoyed many laughs thanks to po the panda. kaleigh fell asleep at the very end, while connor stayed awake to enjoy some popcorn before calling it a night. val and i stayed awake to see ironman which was pretty good! we were very tired by the time we got home...2:15! yikes!
