the final countdown

only 4 more days until nikki and i go on our scrappin' vacation!! (it's only to concord but val thinks it's a vacation) three days of scrapbooking with friends, staying up late, having fun, and sleeping in the most amazing beds! so...that means only 4 more days to get my act together and start getting supplies and projects ready to go...only 4 more days to pack up all my stuff that has been sitting out for 2 months...only 4 more days...i guess i should get off the computer and start doing something!! :)

big stuff for a tuesday!

kaleigh got to say the morning announcements at school today. she practiced all weekend and was ready to go this morning. she was supposed to do the announcements with a classmate but he was sick, so she got to do it all by herself. she said she was a little nervous but she did a great job! our principal, ms. jones, gave her a splash attack for a job well done!

snow fun!!

on saturday we went to the snow with donnie, jana, cole, mimi, and pop pop. donnie took us to soda springs which is a ski resort but has a family snow park too. kaleigh was so excited to go. as for connor, he wasn't. he cried and screamed from the moment we got there, changed his clothes, and walked up to the lodge. once he figured out things were going to be ok, he had a good time.                                         

                                          

kaleigh went tubing with mimi and val. she even rode a snow mobile for the first time. woohoo!

                                          

the weather couldn't have been any better. so warm and sunny! perfect for a day at the snow.

sunshine!

this weather we've been having is wonderful!! could it be that the groundhog was wrong? the sun is out, clear skies, and warm. i might have a touch of spring fever! i painted my toenails, put on my capris, and pulled out the flip-flops. i can't wait 'til i can permanently set my toes free from the socks and boots and walk barefoot wherever i want. ahhh! i can almost feel it. 

super bowl sunday

super bowl sunday was a busy day around here. all the exciting things like doing laundry, washing dishes, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, etc. i did find some time to make a few things for myself. i painted some "love" letters for some scrapbook pictures i want to do. 

i painted a "read" sign for my classroom. this month we are showing our love for reading by reading as many books as we can. i made this to put on one of my bookshelves.

and yes, i did watch the super bowl. i was cheering for the new york giants. i'm glad they won! i didn't win any of the super bowl pools i was in though. oh well. :)
