fun in the sun

connor had  a blast playing in the sprinklers today. he ran around the grass as the sprinklers watered the lawn. i got plenty of wet hugs from him and laughed as he shouted and giggled in the water. he didn't want to come in the house when it was time to go in, so we put him in the backyard to help "water the grass." this time kaleigh joined him for some fun! 

purple pancakes

it was another "connor & mommy" morning. kaleigh went with val to his office while connor and i snuggled in bed. "mom, i want pancakes...purple pancakes!" off to the kitchen we went. connor got the stool and stood in his spot to help. he did great!

purple pancakes definitely taste yummy!! right connor??? mmmm!!

saturday mornings

the best thing about saturday morning is sleeping in. i'm usually awakened to connor saying, "hey, mom." then we snuggle under the covers as he says, "snuggle mommy." we stay like this until he starts thinking about food, which is often pancakes--his favorite! this morning he actually wanted to help make them. he got the step-ladder to stand on, told me what to get, and stirred the batter. he also wanted to make them blue, so we put in a few drops of food coloring. it was fun helping mommy but it was more fun eating the blue pancakes. :)
