23 more days!

the countdown has begun...only 23 more days until the new jonas brothers cd comes out!! a certain someone can't wait.

burnin' up for the jonas brothers!

last thursday afternoon val surprised kaleigh with jonas brothers concert tickets for that night. kaleigh and i went to see the boys at the sleeptrain pavilion in concord for their burnin' up tour. this was kaleigh's first concert and she was very excited to say the least! she got a "first concert" certificate from the pavilion which was cute--it had the date, her name, and a place to put her ticket. opening up the show was demi lavato from camp rock. she was good but not what we, and every other girl in the audience, were waiting for. 

woohoo!!

nick, joe, and kevin finally came on at 9:00!! (yes, i do know all their names. haha!) the screaming crowd of little girls, tweens, teenagers, and even adults sang along to all the songs. kaleigh had fun rockin' out. of course we got her a t-shirt, lanyard, and poster for souvenirs of her first concert. it really was a great concert! 

a night with the stockton ports

we went to the ports game with mimi, pop pop and a few of their friends. it was root beer float night--you pay $5 and get all the root beer floats you can eat. val and the kids sure liked this! once the sun went down, it was nice to relax and watch the game. the ports won 18 - 7! great game!

after the game, kaleigh and connor got to run the bases and high-five splash the mascot.

what a weekend!

kaleigh had her first big invitational swim meet this past weekend. she swam 4 individual events and 2 relays. she did such a great job! she improved in all 4 of her individual events, taking off as much as 4 seconds in some strokes! wow! she was really proud of herself; val and i couldn't have been more proud of her. this is a picture of kaleigh in one of her relays. she's in lane 2, getting ready to dive in. 

happy 4th of july!

we spent the 4th at home having a bbq with family and some of our neighbors. we enjoyed sitting in the backyard talking and watching the kids play. the kids kept us entertained, especially our neighbor logan! once it got dark, we had a perfect view of fireworks on the deck. any direction we looked, we saw amazing fireworks!

gage loved being near kaleigh. where ever she went, he was glued to her side. too cute! (he's in the orange shirt, if you didn't know! ha!)

where's connor you ask??? connor didn't like the fireworks, the loud noises scared him. he was inside watching spongebob until he fell asleep. :)

swim lessons

connor has been taking swimming lessons the past few weeks. he loves the water and has been doing so well. he's putting his face in the water and blowing bubbles, jumping in from the side, and kicking his feet. 

he always has a goofy smile on his face when he's having fun! i'm glad he's having a great time.

i'm all for technology but do i have to share my computer???

the kids have been taking over my computer since vacation started. it was cute at first but now they are seriously moving in on my territory! :)
